We have also supported the Great Island First Responders in equipment purchase. Cobh Lions Club commenced and support the Defibrillator Maintenance Project on the great Island. Cobh Lions have taken the roll of monitoring and assisting in the maintenance of all 24hr Defibs on the Great Island. There is currently twenty nine AEDs known to Cobh Lions on the Great Island of Cobh and we have produced an up to date Community Map clearly identifying the locations of each one. Thirteen of these AEDs are 24 hour accessible.
It is intended to locate another 24hr accessible AED in the town very very soon. Details to follow once fully installed and operational and our map will then be updated. Please click on our link below to view the current Defib Map last updated on the 17th February 2024. All 24hr AEDs are registerd with the National Ambulance Service (NAS) and with Cobh Gardai at (112/999).
Cobh Lions Club are not the owners and are not solely responsible for the correct operation of all Defibs on the Great Island.
Please if you use or know of a Defib being used contact both the owners and Cobh Lions Club.
Equally if you see any damage to a Defib contact both the owners and Cobh Lions Club.
